OUR FAVORITE STONE-COLD CHARACTERS WITH THEIR LOVE FOR THE PINK, THE NUDE, AND THE FABULOUS
Of course, we all love the gentle and wide-eyed characters we see on TV. But, there’s always something catching with that stone-cold characters we all love and hate. We are drawn to that evil witch dawning her trademark red. Fierce and might, daunting in every wicked look. Something is intimidating about that fixed persona of the Red Queen – you just know she’s bad news. Yet, you can’t help it YOU WANT TO BE HER!
But not all witches love RED. Have you ever known evil and its subtleties? Well, these stone-cold fictional characters are giving you the chills with their soft pink hues.
1. Seo Ye-Ji as Go Moon-Young (It’s Okay Not to Be Okay)
Netflix is currently airing the long-awaited comeback of K-drama heartthrob Kim Soo-Hyun. The story already sparked the curiosity of viewers with the two main actors’ dynamic in portraying conflicted characters. Seo Ye-ji is playing the role of Go Moon-young, a successful children’s book author who suffers from an antisocial personality disorder. With her cold stares and exorbitant ensemble, you will already love her look no matter how eerie she can be. Her clipped and perfect hair complemented her features. But what completed her look in these scenes were her subtle pink and matte-ish lips.
Get this look:
A full-on restrain before going all evil (or fierce at least) – you can cop this look by fixing your hair in an effortless yet clean bun. Use dark brown eyeliner and bronze eyeshadow for a fine cat-eye (with a glimmer effect). It shows finesse yet exudes duplicity. Complete it with LIP. PAINT. in Ms. Nice. The creamy matte finish will give you that flawless lips just like Go Moon-young.
2. Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl)
Oh, she’s the Queen B, alright? Our sweet, conniving socialite of the Upper East Side. We just couldn’t hate Blair Waldorf – her outlandish style and fashion statements made up for all (well, at least most) her evil plans. Though she can perfectly pull off darker and bolder colors, her gentle and cheery makeup made all the plotting and scheming equally persuasive. We knew Blair was MOOD when she said, “You need to be cold to be queen.”
Pull off Blair’s look:
Dewy-eyed and pinkish glow - you know nobody can resist you. Highlight your doll-like feature with CHEEK. LIP. in Dolled for your cheeks, and FACE. BLUSH. in Flowerbomb on your lips for that sweet and sheepish smile. (Yes, Blair! 4 words, 8 letters – you don’t have to say it but I’M YOU!) Finish this look with a statement piece, a crown perhaps? xoxo
3. Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly (Breakfast at Tiffany’s)
Before Blair Waldorf dominated the Upper East Side, we knew all too well another queen preceded that. Holly Golightly was Blair’s inspiration in some of her looks. Audrey Hepburn was iconic in her role in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Her unconventional reactions to things were deviously COLD. Paired with her extravagant choice of clothes, she perfected that sweet and delightful yet extremely indifferent character. And, Holly never went out without her classic nude and pink lips!
Flaunt Holly’s look:
All things extra, but minimal makeup. Holly is pure pretty and subtle with her soft pink lips. She also likes to play with her nudes. Apply Face. Blush. in Rock Candy on the side of your cheeks for that contoured effect, complete it with CHEEK. LIP. in Pink Puff as your lips’ base and top it with LIP. PAINT. in Cookie Star. The soft combination of these nude and pink shades will give you that laidback Holly Golightly vibe. Let’s forever quote the queen when she said, “A girl doesn't read this sort of thing without her lipstick." – and whatever that sort of thing, we know we will never run out of reason to put on a lipstick!
